Coton Mouton recently launched a new dolls collection in collaboration with local designers such as Denis Gagnon, Helmer, Marie Saint Pierre and many more. The designers were asked to choose their favorite piece for scaling down to doll size.

Aude Le Dubé, founder of Coton Mouton, decided to design her own line of cloth dolls made in Montreal while trying to find a doll for her two years old niece. After months of work and research, she launched a line of handmade decorative cushions and organic cloth dolls.


In addition to the designers clothes, a fall collection is also available and embraces the uniqueness of Canadian autumn with specific colors and textures. Visit the official website at to view the full collection.

Pendleton and Dr. Martens are collaborating for a second time to create a colourful and vibrant footwear collection, perfect for the Autumn Winter season. Dr. Martens stands for rugged durability and this partnership – born in the Pacific Northwest of America – combines both quality and craftsmanship to create three styles: a traditional Brogue Shoe and 8-eye Boot for men and women, and an Ankle Biker Boot especially for women.

Using an exclusive Pendleton woven pattern called ‘Sante Fe Stripe’, the partnership offers two of Dr. Martens most traditional and well-known styles: the 1460 8-eye Boot in and 3989 Brogue Shoe, crafted with a combination of Tan- coloured Harvest leather with comfortable and cozy wool panelling on each side. For women, the Ankle Biker Boot has been designed to sit on the Parade sole, which has a notably low heel that transforms a classic silhouette into a very contemporary and wearable style, complete with buckle detailing and the classic Dr. Martens heel loop.

Los Angeles – Africa Fashion Week 2013 #AFWLA

When most people think of African fashion, Los Angeles isn’t usually the first thing that comes to mind. Last October however, the Africa Fashion Week Los Angeles (AFWLA) team put together a compelling compilation of events that virtually brought Africa to Downtown Los Angeles.


Africa Fashion Week Los Angeles 2013 is scheduled to take place October 10th -13th. AFWLA has solidified itself as Los Angeles’ largest African fashion event, bringing diversity and culture to LA Fashion Week. Invited guests will be treated to runway shows featuring some of Africa’s new emerging talent as well as many great established brands, networking mixers, seminars, vendor exhibitions, and more.
AFWLA is dedicated to using their platform to raise awareness and impact a social change in Africa, this year they will be partnering with the Giving Back Charity as their non-profit beneficiary. A portion of funds will be donated to the charity to assist them with their mission of helping underprivileged African youth succeed through academic and athletic programs.

C’est une nouvelle alliance inattendue qui va sûrement réjouir beaucoup de fashionistas ! H&M collabore avec le studio de création de la Maison Martin Margiela pour sa collection capsule automne/hiver 2012-2013.
